Two-day special screening of film 'Gondi' has been organized at the Shawkat Osman Auditorium of the Public Library with slogan ‘Bhalobashar Gondi-te katuk Falgun’. On 12th and 13th February (Friday and Saturday) total 3 exhibitions have been organized every day from 11 am, 3 pm and 7 pm.
Director of the film Fakrul Arefin Khan confirmed the matter. Interested Audiences will have to pay a hundred taka to watch the film.
The romantic comedy film is about the friendship between two middle-aged retired men and women and how their family and society take the matter about them.
Bangladeshi actress Suborna Mustafa and India's famous actor Sabyasachi Chakraborty have played the lead roles. Also starring Majnun Mizan, Aparna Ghosh, Aman Reza, Payal Mukherjee and others. West Bengal's Devajyoti Mishra has composed the background music for 'Gondi' produced by Gorai Films.
Fakhrul Arefin Khan directed this film was released on last year February 7 in about 20 cinema halls across the country. The film is based on Shubhjit Roy's story 'Pather Saathi'.
In addition to Valentine's Park, Ill Ford, N Field, Piccadilly Circus in London, UK, 'Gondi' has been filmed in several locations in Dhaka and Cox's Bazar.
"I have received a special response from the audience since the release of the film. The film has been released in the country as well as exhibited outside the country. We have organized a special exhibition of the film with the idea that everyone can paint Falgun in the name of their loved ones. Hopefully we will get a positive response from the audience,” said Director Fakrul Arefin Khan.
