Kishoreganj Model Police arrested two thieves along with 6 laptops and 27 mobiles. They were arrested from Akrampur area of the district town on Tuesday afternoon. The arrested are Md Emon Mia (22) and Md Rajib Bhuiyan (24) of Kishoreganj town.
According to sources, mobiles and laptops were stolen from AJR Parcel & Courier Service located in Ekrampur area on the night of December 3. Since the incident, the police have continued their operation to unravel the mystery and recover the stolen goods and arrest the thieves. Emon and Rajib were arrested from Ekrampur area on Tuesday afternoon on the basis of secret information.
According to their information, police recovered 6 laptops and 27 mobile phones from under the ground near the government pond behind the Bhai Bhai Fal Bitan shop from Newtown area.
Kishoreganj Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Abu Bakar Siddique confirmed the incident and said that when the thieves sent Emon and Rajib to the court on Wednesday, the magistrate denied their bail and sent them to jail.
