Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) have arrested two people in Swechhasebak League leader Shimul murder case in Jashore.
Arrested Bulbul and Nayeem are the main accused in the murder case. They were arrested from Dhaka on Friday.
Earlier, the murder incident occurred at night on Thursday (March 21) in front of one Tarikul Islam's house at Gobila village under Sadar upazila of the district.
The deceased was identified as Shimul Hossain, 40, son of Mokleshur Rahman. He was the general secretary of Churamonkati Union unit and also the general secretary of ward no 8 Jubo League.
It is primarily known that Shimul was killed over establishing supremacy in the area.
Resma Sharmin Begom, superintendent of Jashore PBI, said the two main accused of Shimul's murder Bulbul and Nayeem were arrested from Dhaka's Abdullahpur at 9am on Friday.
