A tree plantation program under the auspices of Nature and Life Foundation of Channel-I was inaugurated by Solaiman Hoque Joarder Selun, MP and Chairperson of First Capital University of Bangladesh Trustee Board on First Capital University of Bangladesh (FCUB) campus on June 24.
At least 300 trees were planted on the campus on the day by participation of local journalists, students of the university, political leaders, and elite of the town and representatives of professionals.
The inaugural function was presided over by Professor Moffazel Hossain, VC of FCUB while Solaiman Hoque Joarder, MP was present as chief guest. Dr. Nahid Parvez, Controller of Examination of FCUB, Dr. Azibar Rahman, Treasurer of the University and Abdul Mazid Biswas, Director (Finance) of the University were present as special guests. It was addressed by Azad Malita, Editor of Dainik Paschimanchal and Sarder Al Amin, President of Chuadanga Press Club. Rajib Hasan Kochi, District Correspondent of Channel-I and General Secretary of Chuadanga Press Club delivered a welcome address at the program.
It may be mentioned here, about 300 trees were planted on the campus that day. Later 900 trees will be planted at different graveyards, educational institutes and fallen land of the district.
