A daylong training workshop on smart land services and cashless land office management for the field level officials was held in Jhenaidah on Friday.
Jhenaidah district administration organized the training workshop with the assistance of the ministry of land at deputy commissioner’s conference room. Secretary of the ministry of land Khalilur Rahman virtually inaugurated the workshop as chief guest.
Presided over by deputy commissioner (DC) SM Rafiqul Islam, Divisional commissioner in Khulna Helal Mahmud Sharif, land reforms board additional secretary Sashanka Shekhar Bhowmik, land ministry joint secretary Jahid Hossain Panir, deputy secretary Selim Ahmed, local government rural development (LGRD) deputy director in Jhenaidah Yearul Islam, additional district magistrate (ADM) Salma Selim and additional district commissioner (general) Rathindra Nath Roy attended the training workshop as special guests. A total of 57 union and upazila level field officers participated in the training workshop.
The organizers said the government had taken plan to include four pillars like Smart Citizen, Smart Society, Smart Economy and Smart Governance to attain the Smart Bangladesh vision 2041 and Smart Bangladesh Roadmap. To ensure digitalized services to doorsteps of the people, the government had introduced digital land services to bring dynamism in the services.
Describing the importance of the cashless land office, the government had revised the law and policy where the people would be benefited. They workshop suggested the land office managers to deal the matter with honesty and sympathy to ease the sufferings of the service receivers.
