Training on journalism begins at IU

A three-day foundation training programme on journalism began at Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Tuesday.

Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB) and Islamic University Journalists’ Association (IUJA) jointly organised the training programme at the conference room of Institutional Quality Assurance Cell of the university.

IU vice-chancellor Professor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari inaugurated the training programme as the chief guest while treasurer Professor M Selim Toha and IUJA president Emran Shuvro were present as the special guests

The programme was chaired by IU press club president Ferdousur Rahman Shohag.

Zilhaj Uddin Nipun trained the journalists on the first day where around 40 journalists of different online and print media participated.
