Training of engineering trainees of Rampal Power Project begins

Bangladesh-India Friendship Power Company (Pvt.) Limited (BIFPCL) as part of its contribution towards development of power sector has recruited first batch of engineer trainees for its 2X660 MW Maitree Super Thermal Power Project, Rampal, Bagerhat.

Starting on January 11, these 43 engineering trainees would under go a three-month long foundation training programme at the Power Management Institute (PMI) of NTPC Ltd. in Noida, UP of India. 

During this training, they will receive firsthand knowledge and skills at various coal-based power plants of NTPC Ltd. in India which will equip them to work efficiently at their workplace at Rampal Power Project.

Muhammad Imran, High Commissioner of Bangladesh to New Delhi, India has formally inaugurated the training programme as the chief guest while Chairman and Managing Director, NTPC Ltd. Gurdeep Singh presided over the function.

The programme was also attended by Chandan Kumar Mondal, Director (Commercial and Director, BIFPCL Board), Col. V.K.S Tomar, OSD, Bangladesh, Ministry of External Affairs. Govt. of India, DS Rao, ED, PMI, NTPC. Managing Director, BIFPCL delivered welcome speech while DS Rao, ED, PMI extended vote of thanks.
