A two-day training on capacity building for district level resource pool members concluded at SKS Inn in Radhakrishnapur area under Sadarupazila in the district on Thursday.
District Relief and Rehabilitation office arranged the training under the project of Child Centered Anticipatory Action for Better Preparedness of Communities and local institutions in northern and coastal areas, being implemented by Save the Children in partnership with SKS Foundation.
Rimes, an inter-governmental organization working on capacity building in application of user relevant early warning, provided technical support for the training programme.
A concluding ceremony was also held with senior manager of Save the Children Md. Farooque Hossain in the chair.
District relief and rehabilitation officer Mohammad Shafiqul Islam spoke it as the chief guest while district education officer Rokhsana Begum, district primary education officer Nabez Uddin as the special guest.
On the first day of the training, the members were imparted training on their capacity building so that they could help the people of flood prone areas in taking early preparedness to reduce loss of lives and properties during the emergency.
Almost all members of the resource pool participated in the training.
