A tourist died on Cox’s Bazar Sugandha sea beach while he was roaming there on Saturday.
The reason behind his death could not be known immediately.
The deceased was identified as Motiur Rahman, 40, resident of Burichong area of Cumilla.
Sea Life Guard Supervisor M Osman Goni said that the tourist was talking with someone over the mobile phone and roaming at the beach at around 8:45 am. Suddenly he fell down. The members of Sea Life Guard rushed to him and took him to Cox’s Bazar Zila Sadar Hospital where on-duty doctor declared him dead.
Residential Medical Officer (RMO) of Cox’s Bazar Zila Sadar Hospital M Ashikur Rahman said the members of Sea Life Guard brought a tourist to the hospital at around 9:00 am.
However, he was dead before reaching here.
Primarily it was deemed that the tourist might have been killed due to a heart attack or heat stroke.
However, the reason behind his death will be known after the autopsy, he added.
The body of the tourist was kept at Cox’s Bazar Zila Sadar Hospital morgue.
