Tourism Fair to start Feb 3

The country's largest tourism fair '10th Bangladesh Travel and Tourism Fair (BTTF) 2022' will start on February 3 this year and will continue till February 5.

The fair will be held at the Bangabandhu International Confe­rence Center (BICC) in the capital, according to the Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB). 

TOAB unveiled the matter at a press conference at the National Press Club in the city on Monday. 

The purpose of the three-day annual fair is to create awareness about tourism and its sustainable development. TOAB has been organising this fair since 2007. The Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, Bangladesh Tourism Corporation, Bangladesh Tourism Board, FBCCI and Tourist Police will provide overall support to the fair. 

TOAB director (Trade Fair) Md Anwar Hossain said, “Initiatives have been taken to make this year's fair more attractive and magnificent as compared to the previous year.

This year, along with the main fair, there will be B2B sessions, seminars, roundtable discussions, country presentations, cultural events, raffle draws, etc. as sideline events. 

There will be a total of 100 stalls including 12 pavilions and 16 semi-pavilions in the fair.” 

TOAB president and member of the governing body of the Bangladesh Tourism Board Md Rafeuzzaman said, “We have not been able to organise BTTF for the last two years due to the coronavirus. We hope that the tourism fair, which will be held after a long hiatus, will create a lot of excitement among businessmen, domestic and foreign tourists and all concerned in the tourism industry. Through this fair, the tourism industry of the country will revive and play an important role in the economy.”

The three-day fair will be attended by national and international tourism companies, domestic and foreign tour operators, travel agents, tourism authority, airlines, hotels, resorts, amusement parks, transport companies and many more.
