The tax region Bogura has distributed honorary crests and certificates to 26 best taxpayers from Bogura, Sirajganj, Gaibandha and Joypurhat districts.
At a function at the Skyview auditorium of Mom Inn in Bogura town on Wednesday, three highest income tax payers, two long-term tax payers, the highest income tax payer (female) and the youngest highest income tax payer were honored. Tax Region Bogura’s Commissioner Russell Chakma presided over the awarding ceremony for the highest and longest serving taxpayers of the district based tax zone.
Principal of Government Azizul Haq College Prof Shahjahan Ali, President of Bogura Chamber of Commerce Masudur Rahman Milon, President of Bogura Taxes Lawyers Association Abdul Hamid and Additional Commissioner of Taxes Mahidul Islam spoke as the chief guests. Honorable taxpayers Ashok Roy, Jannat Ara Henry, Russell Ahmed Liton, Rafiqul Islam and others spoke at the programme.
At the meeting, the speakers pledged to take the country forward by paying taxes together.
