Selim Khan, head of the country's traditional and largest audio production company Sangeeta, has died. He breathed his last at 7 am yesterday (December 10). He was 55 years old at the time of his death.
Sangeet CEO Robin Imran said Selim Khan had been undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the capital since December 4 after testing covid positive. On Wednesday, he was kept in life support for 20 consecutive hours from noon. By Thursday morning, it was no longer working and he passed away. He was buried at Jurain Cemetery after Janaza in front of Selim Khan's residence in Laxmibazar of the capital after Asr yesterday.
The production company Sangeeta was born in the 80's with the help of Selim Khan. Sangeeta has maintained its position as the largest music production and distribution company in Bangladesh for four consecutive decades. The company is still continuing production.
It is believed that the largest music catalog in the country so far is under the banner of Sangeeta. The death of this music producer of the country has cast a shadow of mourning in the music arena.
