A mobile court drive was conducted in Cox's Bazar on Tuesday in accordance with the Prevention, Control and Eradication of Infectious Diseases Act 2018.
During this time, a fine of Tk 2,900 was levied in 16 cases for not wearing mask, despite repeated requests, instructions and warnings.
District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner Md. Kamal Hossain said that people walking on the streets without masks were forced to buy masks and necessary guidelines were given to them to follow the hygiene rules. "Wear a mask, stay healthy, keep others safe," with this slogan, mobile court drive would continue to operate along with creating awareness among all, he added.
