abna's Ishwardi municipality has announced a budget of Tk 118.65 crore for the fiscal year 2021-22 at an open budget meeting in the municipality hall room on Tuesday.
Ishwardi Municipal Mayor Ishaq Ali Malitha presided over the meeting while, Chief Accounting Officer of the municipality Md Taibur Rahman announced the budget.
At this time people of different classes and professions of the municipality were present. In the new budget, income and expenditure have been kept equal.
Mayor Ishaq Ali Malitha gave a welcome speech after the announcement of the budget. Referring to various problems of the municipality, the mayor said that despite various obstacles, there will be a desperate effort to provide civic services.
"It was my election promise to build a children's park, a public library and a stadium and will be implemented in phases. These development activities will be taken forward on the advice of Nuruzzaman Biswas MP. He sought the cooperation of Ishwardi citizens for this”, he added.
Municipal Secretary, Assistant Engineer Mostafizur Rahman spoke on the occasion. Among the dignitaries present on the occasion there were journalists Mostaq Ahmed Kiran, SM Raja, Mahabubul Haque Dudu, Selim Sardar, Abul Hashem, Touhid Akter Panna, Mohidul Islam and others.
