Although the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations have begun eight months late this year, the schedule will gradually be adjusted in next year’s.
Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni made the remarks in response to questions from reporters after visiting Hasan Ali High School examination centre in Chandpur on Tuesday.
The minister said, “There is a pandemic ongoing in the world now. Due to that, people's livelihood has come to a standstill. Thanks to the almighty we are able to conduct the public tests amid the global crisis.”

"We are grateful to our Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for the way she has handled the Corona situation in the country. I thank everyone, including the Ministry of Health, for the way they have dealt with this situation,” she added.
Saying the next time this delay will be adjusted she further said, "No one will have an issue. There is no opportunity to take next year's exams on time as well. But it won't be as late as this year."
At this time, Chandpur Deputy Commissioner Anjana Khan Majlish, Superintendent of Police Milon Mahmud, District Education Officer Ghiyasuddin Patwari, Chandpur Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sanjida Shahnaz, Additional Superintendent of Police Moinul Hasan, and Hasan Ali High School Headmaster Sultana Ferdous were present among others.
