Australia women's national cricket team played the full bilateral series of T20 and ODI against hosts Bangladesh. In addition to the three-match ODI series, Aussie women cricketers took part as many as T20 series.
Tigresses could not make challenge in any match of the T20 or ODI series when they were white washed in both format.
Meanwhile, head of the management of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Jalal Yunus is optimistic that the women's team will be the strongest team within two years.
About the women's team, Jalal said, “First of all, we have to think that Australia women’s cricket team are physically and mentally strong. They are better than India, England too.”
Despite going down miserably and got out below hundred in four out of six matches (three T20, three ODI), Jalal, the veteran organizer, said, “Girls played against the world best team. I think they played pretty well. Yes, there are some early issues with the batting. But we expected a better performances. Because there are some new players. It will take time for them to adjust. Hope it will be a good team in two years. Bowling was satisfactory. It would be better in the future,” said Jalal.
Ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Jalal Yunus thinks that such a series will help the team. “If we would play with weaker team, we could not find out the weaknesses but if we play with strong sides we would identify our problems. The coach and others will definitely analysis all,” Jalal opined.
