When the Tigers will play their series decider match against Afghanistan, winning the second match was a strong comeback for them to remain in the race of three-match ODI series on Monday.
Winning a comfortable 68 runs win, would be a great reinforcement for them to exit from a huge depression of upsetting periods. Obviously it’s a huge boost up for Tigers to get out from the losing streak just ahead of the final match of the series today at the same ground in Sharjah.
Tigers won the match after coming through a tough time of humiliation of white wash at home ground in Test and T20 series against South Africa following a two-match Test series disasters against India by 2-0 and finally suffering a massive 92 runs defeat in the ongoing ODI series to Afghanistan.
Now, the last match of the series turned into a final encounter after Bangladesh winning the second match and the series being levelled 1-1.
Tigers, after a long time could demonstrate a combined efforts with batters and bowlers playing their role perfectly to contribute team’s victory when in batting performances, apart from Shanto's 76 runs, Jaker's death-overs batting cameo look even better and earlier Tanzid Hasan (22 of 17 balls), Soumya Sarkar (35) accelerated the Tigers’ innings.
However, on the day both the Tigers’ batters and bowlers showed some of their mettle that they are better enough and capable to win match.
But the Afghans are no more minnows or underdogs against any team in the world as they proved it time and again with reaching in the semifinal of the ICC T20 World Cup following the ODI series win against Ireland and defeating South Africa in ODI series just before ongoing series against Bangladesh.
