The defeat of Tigers against the title aspirants India was not at all disgraceful thanks to their character to take the stance of ‘never die before your death’ when they kept their hope alive until the last over.

India also won the match after a huge controversy of umpiring, when there was a fake fielding from the former Indian captain Virat Kohli, that meant they (India) would be fined five runs and that would be added in Bangladesh innings.

Bangladesh had India worked up in a chase of 185 runs, with opener Litton Das stunning assault who had raced away to 60 off 27 balls.

After the rain interrupted Bangladesh was 66 for 0 in seven overs and was 17 ahead of the DLS par score when play resumed.

Finally, Bangladesh’s five-run loss to India gave berth some controversy with the on-field umpires had missed an incident of “fake fielding” from Virat Kohli, which could have resulted in five potentially crucial penalty runs for Bangladesh.

The incident in question took place in the seventh over during Bangladesh on the way to chase when Litton played the ball towards the deep off-side field off Axar Patel.  As Arshdeep Singh sent in the throw, Kohli – stood at point – mocked a shy as the ball was going past him. At the time, it went unnoticed in the field as the on-field umpires, Marais Erasmus and Chris Brown, didn’t take action.

Bangladesh batter Nurul Hasan detailed the incident while talking to media after the match.

On the day most of the time Tigers dominated over the Indian and up to last over they had every chance to win the match but was very much unfortunate could not make the finish in their favoure.

It was another back to back thrilling and never shattering encounter Tigers played followed by their previous match against Zimbabwe but they laughed the last laugh after winning the match in the last ball drama.

Tigers, in fact came to Australia being under tremendous pressure after their series of defeats in the Asia Cup in Dubai and in the tri-nation tournament in New Zealand.

Tigers began the World Cup campaign with defeating Netherlands to break the winning draught and looked earn some confidence but a he huge defeat against South Africa disappointed much and the critics’ fingers again raised to the commitment and even their (Tigers’) abilities. Tigers bounced back strongly against Zimbabwe, though the match was decided in the last ball of the last over, but had the domination throughout the match.

But against India, the Tigers just demonstrated their capability to throw challenge to any of the teams and also turn into tough for them.

Tigers, despite went down to India but deserve some credits, as India seemingly had a controversy victory.
