Bangladesh will take on Zimbabwe in the fifth and final T20 of five-match series at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur, today.
Tigers led the series 4-0 and looking forward to continuing their dominance. Now the Tigers are aiming to finish the series with winning note.
Bangladesh obviously is focusing to whitewash the visiting Rhodesian. It will be a different occasion for both sides, as Tigers expect to increase the number of wins while Zimbabweans want to win at least the last encounter to have some solace.
Zimbabwe appeared in the first three matches of the series as depressingly with losing the matches and trailing the series by 0-3 but throw a challenge in the fourth match though Bangladesh won the match by five runs.
Zimbabwe are anticipating to make the last match a bit competitive following good
performances in the previous match.
Bangladesh won four matches at a stretch but the concern
remains with their batting
orders. From middle to lower order batters failed to manage big score. A total of 23 runs came from eight batters which is very much disappointing.
Though Tanzid Hasan Tamim doing well scoring 52 off 37 balls in the fourth encounter. Soumya collected 41 off 34 balls. Rest of the batters failed to score.
Nazmul Hasaan Shanto has
been struggling to appear with his real character when the captain scored only two runs in the fourth match.
When the Tigers will fly for USA after this series to play ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup and if this series is a part of preparations for the upcoming tournament, it is something an upsetting issues with the top orders including the opening stands.
