Three traders fined

The campaign is being conducted by the Department of Consumer Rights at Uthli bus stand and Pooratala in Jibannagar sub-division of Chuadanga Jalo.

 Three shopkeepers have been fined Tk 21,000 for not writing the production date on the food wrapper, writing the production date in advance and not displaying the sale price list in the shop.

Despite earlier warnings, the company has been fined Tk 4,000 for selling expired and priceless products at the Liza store at Uthli junction in the upazila. Jafar store at Pearatala junction was fined Tk 2,000 for selling expired and non-expired products and not displaying price list. Besides, Mehedi Foods Bakery was fined Tk 15,000 for writing advance production date in food, violating proper packaging rules and preparing food in unhealthy environment.
