A Dinajpur court on Wednesday sentenced three persons to death sentence and another one to life term imprisonment for murdering a woman in 2017 in Fulbari upazila of the district.
District Additional and Session Judge S M Rezaul Bari handed down the verdict to Protima Rani, 45, her son Akash Chowdhury, 25, Protima's brother in law Kaz Mahanth, 30, and Protima's husband Sadhana Nanda Chowdhury, 62. All of them are the residents at Sujanagar village in the upazila.
Sadhana Nanda Chowdhury, who was awarded life term jail, is victim's husband. Protima Rani is Sadhana Nanda's second wife.

The court also sentenced another brother in law of Protima 10 years jail.
According to the prosecution on April 6 in 2017 the victim Tapoty Rani was killed brutally by the convicts at night at Sujapur village in Fulbari upazila. Following the murder victim's son Shuvananda Chowdhury filed a case accusing five people.
Fulbari police submitted charge sheet later.
Testifying witnesses and evidences the court gave the order. Advocate Kazem Uddin Ahmed was appeared in favor of plaintiff while Advocate Hamidul Islam stood for the convicts.
