Three stalkers were arrested from Ramgati upazila of Laxmipur in a case filed for gang raping a housewife, aged 22.
Three accused are: Bellal Hossain, Alauddin and Bellal Hossain (2), of Char Niamot village in the upazila.
Police said the victim on Tuesday evening came to Alexander Market in search of her husband. Later, stalker Bellal took the victim at Alauddin’s house, one resident of the village, on Tuesday evening promising her to help. Bellal along with his four others cohorts violated the victim there at night, leaving her critically ill, added police.
The victim lodged a case with Ramgati Police Station in this connection.
Officer-in-charge of the police station Arisul Haqu said they had arrested three accused and drive is on to arrest others accused.
