The 10th edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T-20 will commence after four days. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) completed all tasks before the tournament.
The tournament committee announced the lists of umpires on Sunday.
An experienced roster of 12 umpires, including three foreign umpires: England’s David Millons, Asif Yakub of Pakistan, and Dayton Batler of the West Indies, and six match referees have been selected to officiate the competition, overseeing a total of 46 matches that will kick off on January 19.
According to BCB, the local umpires are Shorifudoulla Ibn Shaheed Shaikat, Gazi Sohel, Masudur Rahman Mukul, Tanvir Ahmed, Mahfuzur Rahman Litu, Morshed Ali Khan, Ali Arman Razon, Mohamed Kamruzzaman, and Moniurzzaman Tinku.
Shaikat will not umpire from the beginning of the tour; he went to Australia for the bilateral series. Mukul and Sohel also went to South Africa for the U-19 World Cup.
Match Official appointments have also been confirmed for the initial group stage fixtures, which include an accomplished team taking charge of the opening match between reigning Champions Comilla Victorians and Durdanto Dhaka at Sher-E-Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur, Dhaka, at 2:00 p.m., while Chittagong Abahani will take on Sylhet Strikers at 7:00 p.m. at the same venue on the opening day.
Match officials are S.M. Rakibul Hasan, Akhter Ahmed Shiper, Rashid Rahul, Selim Mahmud, Showkaur Rahman Chinu, and Ehsanul Haque Sezan.
The foreign umpires will get $500 (54,800 TK) for every match. While local umpires get TK 25 thousand for each outing.
