A mobile court of Mymensingh City Corporation fined three people for keeping bricks, sand and other construction materials on a road in Bhatikashar area in Mymensingh city on Sunday.
Mymensingh City Corporation Regional Executive Officer and Executive Magistrate S M Mazharul Islam conducted the mobile court and fined them Tk 11 thousand for keeping construction materials on the road. Executive Magistrate S M Mazharul Islam said blocking of roads and creating public sufferings keeping construction materials on roads won’t be tolerated. If anyone creates public sufferings, he or she will be brought under the purview of the law.
Meanwhile, the mobile court has imposed fines of Tk 10 thousand to a building owner as it found Aedes mosquito larvae at an under-construction building at Dhopakhola intersection of the city on the day.
The Magistrate also said several drives are ongoing regularly to search Aedes mosquito larvae to control dengue. He also asked the building owners to keep their premises clean. Stagnated water should not be kept as these are breeding spots of Aedes mosquito. If the larvae of Aedes mosquito is found in any building or office, the owners of the establishments will face action. Such drives will continue in the future, he added.
During the drive, Sanitary Inspector Jabed Iqbal, members of the law enforcers and others were present.
