Three persons have reportedly died when they had taken spurious liquor at Kaliganj town in Jhenaidah. They had died at separate times in the night of Thursday, confirmed Kaliganj police station officer in charge (OC) Abdur Rahim Mollah.
The deceased were Jahangir Hossain, 35, son of Harun Or Rashid of Kaliganj Nadipara, and Razib Hasan, 25, son of Khokan Mia and Bipul Kumar, 45, son of Anil Kumar of Dhakalepara in the town.
OC said they were primarily informed that all the three had purchased the spurious liquor from local sweeper colony in the night of Thursday and took it at time. Jahangir Hossain died at his residence and Bipul Kumar had died on the way to local health complex, while Razib Hosssian had died at Jashore 250-bed hospital during the night when he was undergoing treatment there.
Razib’s post mortem report was conducted there. The police will be confirmed the reason behind the death of the three when the post mortem report was available. The police was preparing for the next course of action, OC said.
