Out of 500 aspirants, three promising Bangladeshi youths have been handpicked by Michael Neary, the head coach at Manchester United Soccer School, for an extensive training stint in Bangalore, India. The selected trio includes Sadman Sajid Ayan from Sirajganj, Papan Roy from Joypurhat, and Rahat Sheikh from Gaibandha.
These young football prodigies will be joining a cohort of international players from India, the UAE, Thailand, and Nepal.
They will be part of 'United We Play', a foundational football programme by Manchester United, which, for the first time, was hosted in Bangladesh through the collaborative efforts of Apollo Tyres, aiming to nurture grassroots talent.
Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club field in the capital became a showcase venue for over 500 young footballers to demonstrate their skills.
Michael Neary expressed his astonishment at the high level of interest and the latent potential among the Bangladeshi footballers.
Meanwhile, members of the Man United Supporters Association in Bangladesh and it’s head of events Talha Kamal, Sports Reporter of Bangladesh Post was also attended the programme.
