A farewell ceremony for the retired professors of theology faculty of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia held on Wednesday around 10:00am. The ceremony was organized by the Theology and Islamic Studies faculty at Bir Shreshtha Hamidur Rahman central auditorium on the campus.
University Vice-chancellor Professor Dr Shaikh Abdus Salam addressed the event as a chief guest while faculty dean Professor Dr ABM Siddiqur Rahman Asrafi was in the chair. Pro-vice Chancellor Professor Dr Mahbubur Rahman and treasurer Professor Dr Alamgir Hossain Bhuiyan, Professor Dr Nasir Uddin Mizy, Professor Dr Mohammad Wali Ullah and Professor Dr ANM Iqbal Hossain were present as special guests.
A total of 14 teachers were awarded at the ceremony. Among them seven were awarded post-retirement honors and the other seven were awarded posthumously.
