Thakurgaon mobile courts active in the field

Executive magistrates in Thakurgaon upazila have led multiple mobile courts drives and fined people for obstructing the lockdown regulations and keeping the shops open. Mobile courts led by district administration officials conducted day-long drives on Friday at several upazilas in the district. 

A joint task force combined with Bangladesh Army, Police, Ansar and other law enforcement agencies have been deployed at field to monitor and assist the district administration officials. In the meantime, mobile court fined a father of a bride for arranging a marriage ceremony without maintaining hygiene regulation.

Thakurgaon Sadar UNO Abdullah Al Mamun along with other UNOs of differenct upazilas fined a total of 41 individuals for violating the lockdown regulation on Friday. Magistrates also fined several business owners for keeping their shops open during the lockdown. 

Thakurgaon district administration officials at the time conducted drives at Ruhia Bazar area, Kalitola Bazar, Uttara Bazar and Patiadangi Bazar area. At the time, army, police, BGB and RAB personnel were present to assist the mobile courts. 

It is to be mentioned that strict lockdown was implemented in Thakur­gaon upazila from Thursday morning. Officials are working relentlessly to impose the lockdown affectively. 

Thakurgaon Deputy Commi­ssioner Mahbubur Rahman said that they are trying to follow the national lockdown guideline. All UNOs along with executive magistrates are active in the fields to implement strict lockdown.Law enforcement agencies are assisting authorities to conduct mobile courts. Several people have been fined already.
