Dubai Police is known for having some of the most luxurious machines in its patrol car fleet. Come 2020 and the fleet will have a new addition in the form of Tesla Cybertruck. The electric pickup truck was unveiled on November 22 and its production will begin in late 2020.
Among the supercars already present in the Dubai Police's luxury patrol car fleet are Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S, Bentley Continental GT, Lamborghini Aventador, Bugatti Veyron, Aston Martin One-77 and Ferrari FF. On November 26, Dubai Police tweeted an image of the Cybertruck with the caption -- "#CyberTruckDubai Police - 2020".
Tesla Cybertruck is available in single motor RWD, dual-motor AWD and tri-motor AWD variants. While the single motor RWD has a range of over 402 km, the dual-motor AWD is good for more than 482 km. The claimed range for the tri-motor AWD is in the north of 804 km.
Tesla Cybertruck price ranges from USD 39,900 (Rs 28.67 lakh) to USD 69,900 (Rs 50.23 lakh). The self-driving option will cost the customer USD 7,000 (Rs 5.03 lakh) more. According to the last update provided by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, the electric pickup truck has received more than 2.50 lakh orders.
Elon Musk has claimed that Tesla Cybertruck is a better truck than Ford F-150 and faster than Porsche 911.
