As sequel of family feud, one Badal Mia of Kumradi village at Shibpur upazila under Narsingdi has chopped three persons including his wife and owner of the house at early morning of Sunday (September-13). Police has arrested the killer.
The victims were identified as Nazma Begum, wife of the killer, home owner Tajul Islam and neigbour Monowara Begum of the same area. Badal was a tenant of Tajul Islam.
Molla Azizul Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shibpur Police Station informed, during altercation between husband and wife in the early morning, neighbours and the home owner went to the house and watched the dead body of wife of the killer lying dead in a pool of blood. During this time neighbours tried to calm Badal when Badal hit home owner Tajul Islam and Monowara Begum with a dao (sharp weapon) indiscriminately injuring them fatally.
Neighbours rescued home owner Tajul Islam and Monowara Begum from the spot and took them to the local hospital when the doctors on duty declared one of them dead while the other died on the way to Dhaka.
