Teen gangs on the go, crimes rife in Narayanganj

Crimes including murder, snatching, extortion, drug peddling even violats the girls occur every day in different localities in Narayanganj district. Gangs of teenage boys are also engaged in the crimes as  they have become active in the district. 

In the last six months, the law enforcers were busy with the management of the health rules in the community because of the outbreak of coronavirus and could not pay due heed to maintain law and order.

As a result, huge number of gangsters started perpetrating criminal activities in different localities defying attitude of the local civil citizens.

On the day of Eid-ul-Adha a criminal gang stabbed to kill an expat at Pathantali under Shiddhirganj police station as he forbade a young  man to take drug just in front of his house. 

On last Tuesday a criminal gang chased two young men who fell on the Shittolakhya river shore and were beaten to death under Bandar police station.

On July 25, early in the morning, a sixty years old man was hacked to death at Digubabu bazaar area in Narayanganj city. 

After the incident police captured a young man with a blood stained sharp weapon and then Sadar model police station branded him a snatcher. 

On Wednesday Sonargaon thana police recovered a throat-slit body from Nayabazar area. 

Police suspected that the man was killed by any adolescent criminal gang as the deceased was also a young man. 

On April 1, Sharif Madbor, a young man was stabbed to death in front of his house in broad daylight by the criminal gang under Fatulla model police station. 

In Arihazar and Rupganj police station, anarchy is rising among   the rival criminal gangs for   the  dominance over the localities to run their criminal activities including drug peddling and toll collec tion from people and indus trialists. 

Two criminal adolescent gangs locked into clash at Muslimnagar Nawabazar area under Fatulla police station on Wednesday. 

It is mentionable that these  criminal gangs are being patro nized by invisible influential persons as well as somebody blaming  inaction of law enforcers to  control crimes.
