Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) has started selling consumer goods through 386 dealers in Rajshahi division from Tuesday noon.
Hundreds of consumers were seen to wait in a queue to buy TCB goods at a reasonable price ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.
In Rajshahi city, the TCB goods are being sold through 78 dealers. Out of those dealers, only five dealers were selling good on trucks while other 73 were selling the goods through their own business outlets. The goods including sugar, soyabean, and lentil are being sold at the zero point, Gourhanga railgate, Laxmipur, Bhadra and Naodapara bazaar points through trucks. TCB is likely to start selling of Gram(Sola) and date five days before targeting the month of Ramadan, a source of TCB , Rajshahi informed.
The consumers will be able to procure sugar at Tk 47 per kilogramme, Soyabean oil at Tk 85, Lentil at Tk 44, Gram at Tk 60 and date at Taka 135 per kg.
