Bangladesh right hand pacer Taskin Ahmed may miss men’s ICC World Cup match against South Africa because of shoulder injury. The match will take place at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, on Tuesday.

Bangladesh played four matches so far and lost three games. The Tigers are in back foot at the moment. The batters can’t manage to get runs on the board. They are consistently failing to give a fight against their counterparts.

On top of that, injury to one of the key players is something quite damaging for the team at the moment. The right handed pacer did not play against host India in the last match. He is playing the World Cup from the very beginning with injury. He failedto complete his bowling quota in the ongoing tournament. For this reason the team fell into trouble.

He bowled six over against Afghanistan, conceded 32 runs with one wicket. The pacer bowled six over and eight over in second and third outings respectively. He concede 38 and 56 runs against England and New Zealand. He took one wicket apiece from these two games. Taskin was not in eleven against India.

So his future to be in the starting eleven against the Proteasis hanging in the balance. If he undergoes surgery at the moment because of his shoulder then he has to be out of the field for two months, sources said. But the team management will not take any risk at the moment.

If Taskin will not play against South Africa, who will be his replacement for him. Three pacers played against India, they are Shoriful Islam, Mustafizur Rahman, Hasan Mahmud. These trio failed and took one wicket, conceding54, 29 and 65 runs respectively.
