Tanzim Hasan Sakib, a key player from Bangladesh's ICC Under-19 World Cup triumph in 2020, is now a pivotal figure in the senior national team. The same squad that clinched Bangladesh's first ICC title is propelling the main team forward, with players like Towhid Hridoy, Shariful Islam, and Tanzid Hasan Tamim transitioning from junior success to becoming staples in the national lineup. Among them is Tanzim Hasan Sakib.

This pacer made his national debut last year and caught attention in the Asia Cup by taking out Tilak Varma. Since that notable debut, he has been a consistent performer for the national team, bolstered by an aggressive approach and a natural flair for taking wickets.

Sakib is included in the Tiger squad for the imminent T20 World Cup. He was a late addition to the team, but the chief selector cited his unwavering commitment to the team as the reason for his inclusion.

In the run-up to the World Cup, the BCB is airing interviews with the players. In a recent video released on Thursday, Sakib spoke about his aspirations, stating, "It's every cricketer's dream to represent their nation on the global stage. Being part of the World Cup squad feels like a dream realized."

Known for his aggressive demeanor, Sakib always keeps his eye on the competition. His ambition extends beyond participation; he aims to dominate, "I've aspired to this since my Under-19 days. I've never lacked confidence in my ability to compete internationally. I've prepared myself accordingly, aiming to establish dominance at this level."

Sakib exudes confidence in his team's capabilities, believing they can overcome any opponent in the World Cup, "I have great faith in our team. We are mentally robust and share a strong bond. If we put forth our best effort, we can defeat any team. With Allah’s will, no team presents a challenge if we all perform at our peak. We possess the talent to triumph over any adversary."
