Seeds and fertiliser were distributed free of cost among 7,650 small and marginal farmers under the Agriculture Incentive Programme of the government at Tanore in Rajshahi on Saturday.
Under this programme, each farmer was given five Kgs of HYV Aush paddy seeds, 10 Kgs of DAP fertiliser and 10 Kgs of MOP fertiliser at a function held at Tanore Upazila Parishad.
The programme was presided over by Mostafizur Rahman, Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Tanore. It was also addressed by Tanore Upazila Chairman Lutfar Haider Rashid Moyna as special guest while Tanore Upazila Agriculture Officer Saifullah Ahmed delivered the welcome speech.
The programme was conducted by Tanore Upazila Agriculture Extension Officer.
Tanore Upazila General Secretary of Awami League Abul Kalam Azad Pradip Sarker, Union Parishad Chairman Ataur Rahman, Nazim Uddin Babu and Mozammel Haque were also present there.
