Subol Ali from Kushtia is only 22 years old. At this age, his height is 8 feet! However, part from brain tumour, he is suffering from various physical problems. Because of his gigantic body he cannot move properly. He has to move with the help of sticks.
Subol’s height seems to be increasing day by day. But due to lack of financial resources of the poor farmer father, proper treatment of Subol is difficult. Therefore, Yunus Ali, the helpless father of Subol, has requested help from the government for the better treatment of his son.
8-foot-tall wonder boy Subol’s house is in Sangrampur village of Rifayetpur union in Daulatpur upazila of Kushtia. Subol’s father Yunus Ali said Subol’s height was normal for 13 years.
Like everyone else, Subol was growing naturally. But after the age of 13, his height began to increase abnormally and now at the age of 22 he reached a height of about 8 feet. Due to this physical problem, he did not go to school after 5th grade.
According to Subol's family, when he started to grow abnormally taller, he was shown to doctors in district cities including Rajshahi.
Doctors said that Subol’s height was increasing day by day due to hormonal problems. However, it is not possible to get advanced treatment because of financial difficulties of his family. That is why his treatment is currently closed.
Yunus Ali, the helpless father of Subol, said, “I see the boy growing like this in front of my eyes. But I can't do anything.” He sought the cooperation of the government for the better treatment of the boy.
Meanwhile, In his village, Subol is, quite simply, a staggering sight. His head grazes the branches of tall trees. His family members barely come up to his waist.
Rifayetpur Union Chairman Jamirul Islam Babu said, “Before this, many of us, including our neighbours, helped as much as we could for the treatment of Subol.
But in Subol's current physical condition, medical treatment is quite expensive which is not possible for Subol’s poor father. For this, a well-to-do person of the society or government help is needed.”
