Sylhet Police continue food, relief distribution

Sylhet District Superintendent of Police (promoted to Additional DIG) Mohammad Farid Uddin recently formed several teams under the direct supervision of PPM to deliver food to the starving flood victims in the police station area. Among them Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Ops) Shahriar bin Saleh, Assistant Superintendent of Police of Gowainaghat Circle Prabas Kumar Singh and Officer-in-Charge of Companiganj Police Station Sukant Chakraborty along with Inspector of Police Shyamal Banik split into several teams. Distribute cooked khichuri in. 

A team led by Additional Superintendent of Police (DSB) Md. Lutfar Rahman, Assistant Superintendent of Police Abdul Karim of Kanaighat Circle and Officer-in-Charge of District Detective Branch (North) Refayet Ullah Chowdhury distributed cooked khichuri among about 500 people in different areas of Jaintapur Police Station. After half-starvation at the shelter for a long time, many became emotional after receiving cooked food from the district police. Besides, Additional Superintendent of Police of Osmaninagar Circle Md. Rafiqul Islam distributed cooked khichuri in Osmaninagar police station area. 

A team led by Zakir Hossain, Additional Superintendent of Police, Zakiganj Circle, along with Hillol Roy, Officer-in-Charge of Beanibazar Police Station, distributed khichuri among about 100 Banbasi people and rice, pulses and pure water among 200 people in Beanibazar Thana area. A team led by Golapganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Harunur Rashid Chowdhury led by Golapganj Circle Additional Superintendent of Police Paritran Talukder distributed cooked khichuri among about 300 people at various shelters in the police station area. 

Under the leadership of Kanaighat Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Tajul Islam PPM, cooked khichuri was distributed among about 250 Banavasi people in different shelter centers of the police station area.

 Rice is distributed. Gowainghat Police Station Officer-in-Charge KM Nazrul Islam led the police force and divided the team into several teams and distributed cooked food at various shelters in the area.

Sylhet District Superintendent of Police (Additional DIG) Mohammad Farid Uddin PPM said, "Bangladesh Police is on the side of people of Sylhet district on the instructions of IGP Dr Benazir Ahmed, BPM-Bar. Such humanitarian activities of the district police will continue till the flood situation improves.”
