Two-day-long Swashan Kalipuja, an important religious festival of the Hindu Community was concluded on Phulahari funeral premises under Shailkupa upazila of Jhenaidah on Tuesday.
Phulahari union parishad chairman Jaminur Rahman Bipul attended the programme as the chief guest.
Jhenaidah income tax office deputy collector Anath Bandhu Saha, puja udjapan parishad president Gaur Gopal Saha, general secretary Harendra Nath Biswas, treasurer Pranab Kumar Saha, Ranajit Biswas, Phulahari high school headmaster Lakkhan Prasad Saha and eminent social worker Prokash Saha among others attended as special guests. Above one thousand people including the fans of Goddes Kali participated in the festival.
The speakers urged the people including devotees to live happily with the people of different opinions and ideology forgetting cast, creed and gender. Everyone should enjoy the liberty and religious rights in the independent country.
