State Minister for LGRD and Cooperatives Swapan Bhattacharjee on Friday called upon the people irrespective of religions, castes and creeds to work in unison for building a prosperous country.
He was addressing as the chief guest the 61st annual general meeting of the Christian Cooperative Credit Union Limited at Bottomley Home Girls' High School at Tejgaon in the capital.
Swapan said the country is going towards prosperity under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. People irrespective of all classes and professions will have to engage themselves with the journey, he said.
The state minister said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman loved people of all religions equally and had struggled for bringing smile on the face of people of all classes and professions.
