Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) administration has decided to take classes online if there is a strike in the current situation of the country or if it is not possible to run the transportation of the university in any natural disasters or any other reason due to the safety of life and property. But depending on the situation, the exam will be conducted in the flesh.
University Vice-Chancellor Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed said that this decision was taken at an emergency academic council meeting of the university on Sunday.
Applauding the decision of the university administration, a third-year student of public administration dept named Jannatul Ferdous said that everyone is afraid when they get into the car during the strike. As a result, going to campus to attend class will be a hassle. In such circumstances, the decision to take online classes is very logical.
The Vice-Chancellor said that the following decision was taken unanimously in the emergency Academic Council meeting in view of appropriate recommendations: If it is not possible to take classes in the flesh due to any reason beyond control, classes will be taken online. If it is not possible to take a class directly for official reasons, in that case, it can be taken online and Lab or practical classes of science and engineering departments will be rescheduled by the department.
