Students of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) have organized a 'Clean Campus Campaign' program to encourage teachers, officials, employees and students to maintain the learning environment and cleanliness on campus.
The campaign program started on Monday (January 16) from 12 noon keeping in mind the slogan 'Clean Campus, Green Campus'. In order to improve the beauty of the entire campus, cleanliness activities have been carried out. The general students of the university participated in this program spontaneously.
A fourth-year graduate student of the university Sadia Islam said, ‘Earlier, garbage was dumped everywhere. Now dustbins are kept in different places of the campus. Everyone will now throw papers and garbage in the dustbin instead of throwing them here and there. Dustbins are also being arranged in various faculties. In this way, everyone needs to keep an eye on regular cleanliness.’
A second year student of the English department said, 'Our place is small, but if the small place can be kept clean, then it really looks beautiful.
There is no such thing as everyone's job here, someone has to be given responsibility. About 150 students from various departments of the university include Khalilur Rahman, Sajibur Rahman, Mamun Shah, Farhan Rubel, Sumon Mia, Delowar Hossain and Salim Hossain were present participated in this campaign.
