SUST introduces E-sign Certificate in Bangladesh

Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) on Tuesday introduced e-sign certificate as the first university in the country, which will play an effective role in building a smart Bangladesh. 

Under the system, Students will come under e-sign certificate from academic year 2017-2018 in international standard cyber security system.

SUST Vice Chancellor Farid Uddin Ahmed signed the agreement on Tuesday at the administration building of the university.

The VC said that the university administration is working to ensure transparency and accountability in all areas.Efforts to improve service quality continue. Already, service registrars have been introduced in departments and offices under APA. It reflects the opinion of the service recipient. As a partner of Smart Bangladesh, service activities are being digitized to ensure fast service, he added. 

At this time, the Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Kabir Hossain spoke among others. Treasurer Professor Amina Parveen, Dean of the School of Applied Sciences and Technology Professor Dr. Ariful Islam, Professor of CSE Dept. Mohammad Reza Salim, Chief Financial Officer of Relief Validation SafqatMateen and Chief Operating Officer Andreas Riethmuller also present.

At this time, the acting president of the teachers' association Professor Dr. Chandrani Nag, Director of IICT Prof. Dr. Mohammad Zahirul Islam, Acting Registrar Fazlur Rahman, Controller of Examinations Mujibur Rahman, Deans of various faculties, Heads of Departments, Hall Provosts and President of Officers Association etc.
