Four new food courts are being constructed at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology to serve quality food cheaply to university students. About 70% of these food courts are to be built behind the university's Muktamanch.
Going around the university campus, three modern tea stalls near academic building-E were built earlier this year. Besides, three old tea stalls are selling food next to the handball field. Also a modern cafeteria serves food to the teachers, students and staff.
University Vice-Chancellor Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed told Bangladesh Post on Tuesday that four new food courts are being built to ensure good food at a low cost. From here, anyone will get whatever kind of food he wants.
We want to entrust the management of these food courts to some good organizations from outside.
According to the Vice-Chancellor, our main lakh of students should be able to eat good and healthy food at a low cost. As we do not expect to charge any fees from the management institute, we expect them to serve good food to our students.
