The suspected killer of a van puller from Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj on Friday night.
The arrested person was identified as Ruhul Amin Kalu, 39, son of Md. Ganu, a resident of Bohorom Hatatpara of the upazila.
On a tip-off, an operation team of RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp arrested Ruhul Amin from Hatatpara area under Ranihati union of the upazila around 11.30 pm, a RAB official said.
Police of Shibganj Police Station recovered a charred dead body identified as Tofazzal Hossain, 45, from a mustard field of Ghorapakhia on Friday last around 10 am.
A murder case was filed with Shibganj Police Station regarding this on the same day.
After that, RAB started a shadow investigation and arrested Ruhul Amin.
The arrested person was handed over to the police of Shibganj Police Station.
