Adviser to the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Supradeep Chakma on Monday said we will work to maintain peace and order in the hilly areas and prioritize the development of education and environment in a bid to make Bangladesh a happy and prosperous country.
He said this after a view exchange meeting with the Bandarban district level government officials working in the hill district at the meeting room of the circuit house of the district on Monday.
At that time, he also said that chairman and members will be appointed in three hill district councils including Bandarban hill district council.
Supradeep Chakma urged everyone to be aware of stopping extortion to maintain peace and order in the hill district as well as to maintain peace and order in the entire country.
Among others, Deputy Commissioner Shah Mojahid Uddin, Superintendent of Police Saikat Shaheen, Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Umme Habiba Meera, Chief Executive Officer of Hill District Council Md. Masum Billah and senior officials of various government offices, were present in the meeting.
