Students vow to fight drugs and terrorism

Chuadanga JSC and JDC students took an oath against drug and terrorism at a reception programme  at the Police Lines, organised by Chuadanga District Police on Friday. The students vowed at the time, not to take drugs or get involved in terrorist activities rather help police members to fight them. 

Chuadanga Superintendent of Police Md. Jahidul Islam conducted the oath taking session and urged the students to prepare themselves to be scientists rather than govt. employees. He also said that police would conduct campaign against drug and terrorism in the district along with the students.

SP Jahidul Islam presided the ceremony while District and Session Judge Md. Rabiul Islam attended as chief guest. Deputy Commissioner Najrul Islam Sarker, Sadar Upazila Chairman Ashadul Hoque Biswas and District Education Officer Nikhil Chandra Chakrabarti spoke at the time as special guests. Managing Director of Diamond World Dilip Kumar Agarwala spoke as a patron of the program. 

The meeting was presided over by Superintendent of Police Md. Jahidul Islam while District and Session Judge Md. Rabiul Islam was present as chief guest. Deputy Commissioner Najrul Islam Sarker, Sadar Upazila Chairman Ashadul Hoque Biswas, Alamdanga Poura Mayor Hasan Kader Gonu, District Education Officer Nikhil Chandra Chakrabarti addressed as special guests. Judge Rabiul Islam urged students to read books and earn knowledge. He said, “Do not hanker after academic certificates rather try to become human being and work for the people of Bangladesh in future.”  About 576 students of 70 high schools and madrasas who got GPA-5 in the JSC and JDC examination in 2019 received crest and educational aid at the event. Teachers, students and journalists of the district attended at the program.
