In order to face the challenges of the 21st century, students should be made interested in practical aspects rather than memorization, said Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni.
She made the statement while speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural function of the training of heads of educational institutions and concerned upazila academic supervisors at Muzaffar Ahmed Chowdhury Auditorium of the Dhaka University(DU) on Saturday.
Dipu Moni said, “We learn something but do not learn to apply it. Students should be made interested in the practical aspects of education. They must learn not just to get marks in exams but to become human. Only then the aim of education will be complete.”The education minister further said that the government has undertaken many national goals. “Education is the main tool in implementing national and international goals.
