‘Students should acquire knowledge to build tech sound country’

Superintendent of police (SP) in Jhenaidah Ashiqur Rahman had said the students studying in the technical institutions should acquire adequate knowledge on technical matters so that they can build up themselves as skill and efficient persons when the whole world has been playing role to establish themselves. 

SP Ashiqur Rahman was addressing a gathering of the students, teachers, guardians and headmasters of secondary level schools marking technical and vocational education week observance with the guardians at Jhenaidah government polytechnic institute on Wednesday noon. 

In his speech as chief guest the police boss said China, Korea, Japan and some other countries have been leading the technology sectors throughout the globe for last couple of decades, while their way was not comfort at all. When they stepped in to technology with their skill and trained manpower they had captured the global market. The time for the people of Bangladesh is not so far where the future generation would take the steering of the wheels. 

Presided over by Jhenaidah government polytechnic institute principal Sazed Ur Rahman, academic head of the institute Mahbubul Islam and Bangladesh Post Roving Correspondent Delwar Kabir attended as special guests. The concluding ceremony of the programme was scheduled for June 17, institute sources said.
