A public gathering was held by students and public in Cox’s Bazar on Wednesday to protest against the bail granted to Awami League leader Rashedul Haque Rashed by the district judge court leader.
The public gathering was also held to press home their five-point demand, to protest against bail granted to the criminals who killed students and are the thugs of the autocrats and to demand the quick removal of the judges who serve the interest of the autocratic government.
The public gathering and demonstration was held in front of the district judge court and judicial magistrate court on Wednesday noon, led by the coordinators of Anti-Discrimination Student Movement led the demonstration.
Coordinator of Anti-Discrimination Student Movement in Cox’s Bazar Shahidul Wahid Shahid presided over the programme. Advocate Abu Siddiq Osmani, Ramiz Ahmad, Mohammad Yunus, and leaders of the anti-discrimination student movement, including Rabiul Hossain, Tajdizur Reza, Zonayed Hossain, Sagar Ur Islam, Zinia Sharmin Riya, Riyad Moni, Ryan Khashem, and Alomgir Chowdhury, delivered speeches spoke at that time.
The speakers urged the district judge to revoke the bail of Awami League leader Rashed within the next 12 hours. They warned that they would continue their demonstration if their demands were not met. During this time, they also called for the cancellation of the licenses of the lawyers who assisted in granting the bail and demanded organizational action against them.
They pressed home their five-point demand from the demonstration.
