Students clean roads in Ulipur

Students of anti-discriminatory student movement carried out cleaning works in various areas of Ulipur town of Kurigram district on Wednesday on their own accord.

They were seen to clean post office intersection, Gobar intersection, Police Station intersection, Kachari road, Upazila Parishad intersection of the town. 

They divided themselves in various groups at Bijoy Moncho of the town and started the cleaning work from the afternoon.

Students of various schools and colleges who took part in the anti-discriminatory student movement participated in the cleaning work on Wednesday. Moreover, members of various voluntary organizations participated with them in the cleaning work as well.

Coordinators of anti-discriminatory student movement Abu Noman, Morsalin Ahmed and Ainul Islam said they removed various garbage and wastes spreading around roads. 

They cleaned the garbage on the side of the roads with brooms and shovels and cleaned the footpaths as well. 

They took the garbage and disposed them in the municipality landfill.

They said their cleaning activities will continue.
